Sasha Levtov Tribute and Pallant Piano Concert details

Due to illness, the planned Selsey Consort concert unfortunately could not take place on Saturday, 25th October. Their concert has been postponed to a later date, to be announced.

In lieu of this, an impromptu members' evening was arranged last Sunday. Admission was free, and members were invited to give tribute to and share memories of Sasha Levtov from the Regis School of Music where the club is hosted, and who sadly passed away the previous Sunday, 19th October.

During the evening, donations were welcomed for Sasha's family to present to their charity of choice. Performers included cellist James Dew, pianists Maria Luc, Yuriko Luc (also singing), Jack Adams, Alison Blenkinsop and internationally acclaimed Valentina Seferinova; singers included Hilary Platts, Louise Russell and Ian Clark. Pamela Howard and others shared fond memories of Sasha and a total of £280 was raised from proceedings.

Members and guests are reminded that the next concert will be the annual Pallant Piano Group concert on Saturday 15th November. This group of local professional and semi-professional pianists has been meeting to perform, share and discuss piano literature since 2012.
